Re: BOSS Delta 300 - One Belt stops functioning
Hi Gene, I was able to delete the config-override file an re-run the calibration. Now, when my machine is homed, the X is at 2.5 and the Y is at -2.5. That said, the issue where the Z belt/tower is unable to move in positive Z direction persists. It seems to be fine moving up and down in the Z ...

I also noticed the X/Y aren't at 0 after homing. Not sure if that is having anything to do with the issue.

BOSS Delta 300 - One Belt stops functioning
Hi everyone, it's me again! I was able to run a successful print on my new BOSS Delta 300 when I first got it, but I'm having an issue where one of the belts seems to stop functioning properly. I first noticed a problem when I went to run a print and the nozzle would grind into the glass on the ...

Wifi SSID & Password too long for Console command line
Hi there, I just bought a new BossDelta 500 with the Duet Wi-Fi, but I'm stuck at the "connecting to wifi" stage. The SSID and password for my wifi router is one character too long to be input on the Console screen on the printer's touchscreen. Is there any way to split the M587 command between the ...

Re: PSU shot?
Trouble shooting a power supply is a simple process. You can start by measuring the output voltage on the supply leads. If you have no voltage there then you can measure the ac voltage supping the power supply on the input leads. Do not forget to measure the power switch as they too can burn out ...

I was running a print today on my rostock max v3 and all of a sudden my printer went completely dark- no fans, lights, or any sign of power. I went a switched the outlet to see if it was just the outlet that was bad, but the outlet is working fine. When I flip the switch I get zero response from the ...

Re: HE 280 bowden tube seating
I'm in the same boat as you. I think the bowden tube goes about 1.7" into the heatsink. I seat the tube fully then circle the top with sharpie and pull it out. I cannot solve my problem with my hot end jamming either. Every time I take it out after a test print there is a "hockey puck" of material ...

HE 280 bowden tube seating
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew exactly how far the bowden tube is supposed to go into the hot end on the Rostock Max v3. I was only getting about 1-1/2" but then I took the whole thing apart and found a huge buildup of PLA, removed it, and am now getting about 1-5/8", but I'm still having a ...

Re: [SOLVED] Extrusion Problems with HE280 continued
Simple solution- just unscrewed the PTC adapter after removing the PTC board shield and cut the filament. I was so discouraged about the grinding issue continuing that I wasn't thinking straight.
I'll leave my dumb problem and easy solution up for anyone else who might run into it in the future.

[SOLVED] Extrusion Problems with HE280 continued
Hello, I followed the instructions located here: https://seemecnc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/217525946-HE280-Not-Consistently-Extruding-Filament-JAM but the grinding up of filament issue continued. I assumed that I did something wrong considering that the post says that there's a 100% success ...

Re: Rostock Max v3 initial startup Thermistor problems?
I replaced the thermistor on the hotend without any change to the startup temp readout. I also bought a multimeter to try and get to the bottom of this but I'm stumped. I tested the resistance of the thermistor with a readout of 1.5 (I'm not sure what units it is using- the multimeter i bought is ...

Re: Rostock Max v3 initial startup Thermistor problems?
Also unscrewed the screw at the nozzle tip securing the thermistor in place to see if that was pinching or causing contact, no change.

Re: Rostock Max v3 initial startup Thermistor problems?
I checked the following connections: Where the thermistor is soldered to the accelerometer board, looks good. I unscrewed the board to see if maybe it was pinching it too, no change. Took off the heatshrink at the end of the wire whip to make sure it didn't pull the green or white wires out. Pushed ...

Rostock Max v3 initial startup Thermistor problems?
Hi, Been searching a lot of the forums before posting and it seems other people have similar errors to mine but most of these errors are occurring for folks after they've printed a few prints. I just turned my printer on for the first time, and am up to Step 6: Calibrating, but I'm having errors ...

Re: Hello from France
Hi Pierre! I'm putting together a Rostock Max V3 as well! About 3/4 of the way through the Hot End assembly. I clipped the wrong wire off the fans so I'm waiting for some new fans to ship to continue my work. I'm also a beginner in electronics, so maybe we can help each other as things progress ...

When cutting connectors off, always leave some wire on them so you can re-use them later, even if you have no plans to use them in the future.
What's a good rule of thumb for length of wire to leave for reuse? 10mm?

Re: Rostock Max v3 assembly - cut the wrong wire
Most computers no longer use fans that small, nor do they use that connector form factor typically. If you have an older laptop or video card, it may have a connector similar to that. I'm not sure where that's meant to plug in (Perhaps on the accelormeter board? If so, you could always unsolder the ...

Hi all, I cut the wrong wire on Step 48 of the hot end assembly (attached picture) I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for how to salvage the situation?
