Bead Height and Width

Good morning everyone,

I was wondering how to determine the height and width of the bead that is being extruded? I have a rostock max. I know you can set the layer height, but is that the same thing?

Thanks

Re: Print popped off the bed

Right now I'm using an Avery glue stick. I adjusted the Z height a bit, hopefully that will do the trick. If not, I'll explore these other suggestions. Thanks everyone!

Print popped off the bed

Hi everyone, I have a medium sized print that's about 6" x 5" x 1.5", and it printed about 75 percent of the way through and then popped off the bed early. I had a heck of a time getting the initial layer to stick. I use a glue stick to help with adhesion, and I used a lot of it because without it ...

Object Printing Unevenly?

Hi everyone, I'm working on printing some parts that have an 11mm curved boss traveling along the back side . The boss is designed to fit down into a channel. The parts are about 9.5mm thick in total, and are supposed to be 9mm thick on either side of the boss. What I'm finding is that when I ...

Material stops feeding in the middle of printing

Hi everyone, I've been having issues my last few times through trying to print a part. The print time is about 3hrs, and at some point during the process it appears that the material stops feeding and the machine begins printing air. I've tried clipping the filament and rethreading. A test extrusion ...

Re: Thin edge printing as dashed line

Ok thank you, I had a feeling that edge may have been a bit thin. After speaking to the higher ups, I've gotten the go ahead to make it a bit wider, so I'll make another attempt and see what comes out.

Thin edge printing as dashed line

Hi everyone, I'm having an issue successfully printing a channel on a specific part that has very thin walls. The channel is formed by two concentric arcs which form walls that are about .5mm thick. The issue I'm having is that one wall prints just fine, and the other is printing as a dashed line ...
