My name is Dermot Conner and I'm a paddy ex-pat living in Houston TX. I'm a glorified code monkey by day, husband, dad, and tinkerer by night. I worked in industrial automation and engineering in a former life.
My 40th birthday is coming up Real Soon Now. Beloved has informed me that, while I'm welcome to give it a try, she doesn't think I'm going to have much luck finding a midlife crisis trophy wife. Certainly not sporting all those bruises. And I already quite like my car. So a quirky-ass DIY 3d delta printer seemed the only reasonable and prudent alternative. I'm completely new to the field (though I've been keeping half an eye on it for more than a decade), all my previous experience has focused on either violently removing material, or squirting it all in in one fell swoop. This whole 'overnight print' thing should be a nice change of pace.
Now on to the good news; by the simple expedient of clicking 'place order' on my RMax V2 just this instant, I've set off a chain of events that is all but guaranteed to end up with the V3 (or whatever it'll be marketed as) being announced in t-minus 2 weeks from now. You're all welcome! (And sorry if I got anybody's hopes up
