Sometime between printing the PEEK fan shroud and testing the fan wiring I blew the F2 fuse and put my Rostock Max v2 out of commission until later this week.
I've already ordered new fuses from Mouser, so there's no issue on my end that needs diagnosis, but I'm of the opinion now that it'd be beneficial to include at least one spare fuse in the kit. Maybe fuses don't get blown that often, and maybe I just made a noob mistake somewhere that caused it to blow, but a spare fuse would have recovered the 5(+/-) days I have now lost.
I guess this is just something to consider, a suggestion from a user frustrated with himself for blowing a fuse on a machine that was otherwise working brilliantly.

Interesting. Any idea how you blew the fuses? Were you plugging things in/out with the power on? Was there an inadvertent short in the fan wiring?

When I bought spare fuses I bought a pack of 10 fuses thinking that there are 2 fuses on the Rambo so that could give me a minimum of 5 repairs. I have used one fuse out of the
10 and that was a year ago. At least I have a spare when I need it!

Those little f*ckers are hell to change... I tried soldering a "handle" on one of the ends, but that made the holder on the board so loose that now they won't fit without an extra drop of solder. Tried to bend a bit without success... Someone know what they are called generally? Have to check if I can get them locally somewhere...

Re: RamBo Fuses
Does anyone have part numbers (or links) handy for all the fuses used in the Rostock?
I would like to have extras on hand when my build is complete.

I'm 99% sure in hindsight that I still had the power supply connected when I installed the quick connectors and hooked it up for the first time (power switch off, but not disconnected from the source), and somewhere between turning it off and on again I ground the circuit out and surged the fuse. A noob mistake on my part for sure, and one I don't plan to make again anytime soon.
