PLA jams

Post by Stryder502 »

Rostock Max V2 using all stock components and settings. I have been running ABS for months now without any major issues. Decided to try PLA. Have one roll of Hatchbox and one from makerbot. Prints run for about an hour and then jam up in the feeder with both rolls. Any suggestions?

Search for almost any post by mhackney and PLA, he's got it down. I know he uses a slicer that retracts and "pre-feeds" at different speeds due to the specific nature of PLA.

You should check that the peek fan is working and is blowing in the right direction ( toward the hotend).
