Re: mattercontrol touch
Let us know. I'm curious if it does anything that Octo/Astro print doesn't do, or if it's a similar thing in a different package.
Good Luck!

Re: mattercontrol touch
I played with it for a week, and then sent it back... a couple of things
Because of the hardware, and the amount of current the usb pulls when driving the printer, it must be plugged in all of the time AND there is no battery in it,so it cannot be use dfor anything else when the printer is idle. had a few conversations with the guys at matterhackers, this is something they tried to get around with off the shelf hardware, and could not do it.... my impression from them is that they are having a tablet designed for them that WILL have a battery in it. This was my biggest complaint, I could not just sit on the couch and surf, download and queue prints, or do much of the other stuff you may want to do while it is not printing or printing off an SD card. it might as well be IN the Printer itself, I realize that is the object of it to control the printer, but you can get a decent lappy for 300 dollars...
the cloud feature was nice to be able to transfer prints wirelessly from pc to tablet.
I have fat fingers, so a stylus is in order for some of the menu stuff for me, just to get to the settings and the queue, someone more adept at tablets might have zero problems with the interface
I could not get the auto leveling feature to calibrate it would only do 1 tower, then it would not do the others. ran the same off my laptop, calibrated just fine, the Z- would not work for the second and third towers. reset, off. on. exit program, restart, all the normal things you do when a tablet hiccups.
logged a ticket with matterhackers but it was an issue they had never seen.
