Orion Fan Wiring

Post by RocketMagnet »

I was replacing my Rambo fan today and noticed my Orion isn't wired up the same as in the Max build manual.

Essentially there are no wires connected to the +ve terminals of the Rambo Peek and Layer fans just the black -ve's. So how is it wired up?
I can only see the 2X heater wires the 2x fan neutrals and 2x white thermistor wires going into the braded sheath..

I'm looking at wiring in a reasonably beefy desk based blower fans to replace the peek and layer fans so presumably I can just wire right into the board anyway?
planning on using the existing peek wiring for LEDs. Which turn on/off at 50 DegC.
No +ve connections
No +ve connections
Wires into Braded Sheath

all + on the rambo are connected, so we only run the negitive since that is what is switched... the + wires for the fans are tied into the main + for heating resistors up at the hotend itself, just inside the mesh right at the hotend

Thanks yeah I presumed it was under the shrink tube.

So presume I am ok to use the +ve/-ve direct on the board for Fan 0 and heater 1 to drive some blower fans?
