I have a Makerbot style printer and am using a Mega/Ramps combination to run it.
I would love to build a Rostock and my question is can I use this same combination? if so what firmware will I need? and if not what boards and firmware must I buy?

The Mega/Ramps will run the Rostock Max, the only changes would be to choose the Ramps instead of the Rambo in the firmware.

You must also realize that you will not have the digipots in the firmware anymore and all driver current changes would have to be made by hand.
