ORION DELTA USERS PERTH WA

Post by Ebygum »

Gday guys,
Just wondering if there are any Orion Delta users in Perth Western Australia.
I recently purchased a Delta but since I connected it to Repetier I am having issues.
I have only managed to print two sample files from the SD card VERY FRUSTRATING.
If anybody is willing to assist me my details are as follows.

Geneb,
Where are you in Perth?
I am just having problems homing correctly and then printing on the glass and not 50mm away.
The following are the steps I take and the results I get.

1.While machine is off I manually push the arms to the top.
2. Turn on Repetier and check Z Max Length in config file ( 300.00 ) OK
3. Click Advanced settings on LCD screen
4. Click Caibrate Z Height.
5. Click Home Towers ( Arms drop approx 50mm and stop )
6. Click Z Position ( Reading Z: 610mm )
7. Adjust Hot end to paper on glass and enter.
8. Set New Z=0.00 and enter
9. Home Towers ( Arms go to top of towers OK )
10. Go to Printer settings and retest Home ( OK )
11. Go back into Repetier to check config file ( Z Max Length is now 505.525 ? )
12. Set Temp to 215 Set Bed to 90
13. Click Select file
14. Click GCODE
15. Click blinky and enter ( get the beeps )
16. Once temps are reached printer homes and starts to print approx 50mm from glass.
Just cannot figure out what is happening.

cheers

About 12,000 miles to the northwest. :)

What config file? Are you referring to the EEPROM?

That's nuts. Have you uploaded new firmware to the Orion?
