Greetings from the Great White North - Canada

Post by townsend »

I ordered a Rostock MAX just moments ago ... this is my third attempt this week at purchasing a 3D printer, and the first two turned out to be scams that were so blatant that PayPal refunded my money within an hour of my complaint. On this website, PayPal wouldn't work, so I had to use my naked credit card ... I hope this is legitimate this time!!!

Anyway, feel free to reassure me that I haven't made yet another mistake while I wait for my purchase to arrive ... assuming it actually does. :)

I run a Brain Computer Interface laboratory at Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada. The systems I work with are based on EEG scalp electrodes, and the lab is in the midst of working on a new design for EEG acquisition, and I'm hoping to print my own electrode support structures using this printer.

Hello fellow Ontarioian and welcome. These are good people. I bought my Orion 2 weeks ago and all went well. Customs held up the shipping for 10 days but all is good and the machine is and works as advertised. I bought the pre-assembled Orion as I was not confident enough to do the build but after spending some time with this printer I am sure I could have done the Rostock. I am a mechanic by trade but no formal education in electronics. I am planning on disassembling my printer today and putting it back together just to "get to know her better". Good luck with the build. You will love it.
