Just got my Orion, ran into some minor hiccups due to UPS' handling. Although i didn't end up needing them, SeeMeCNC support replied quickly!
So anyway, after unboxing when trying to home everything the "Y" axis would not go up. In fact it would only go down. I did enough diagnosis to suspect that it wasn't the RAMBO board, but didn't want to muck around too much. Support initially responded suggesting it might be an end stop issue and wanted to setup a phone appt. This got me to trace the end stop wires from the RAMBO board all the way around and sure enough, that was it.
Damage from where UPS either dropped or slammed it against something:
Went through the box and damaged the MDF:
This force was so hard that it caused a few of the plastic PSU retaining screws to sheer completely:
And then the PSU pinched the end stop wire so hard against the MDF corner that it snipped them:
The Orion otherwise was packaged quite well, but I guess there's no protecting against UPS. Possible recommendations though are to use metal screws instead of nylon/plastic and don't route any wiring between the PSU and the MDF directly.
Support was very helpful through this and they did say they were already working on a new packaging system that might avoid this.
Beware of UPS

The best example I've seen is when UPS broke an anvil in half.

That's not so bad, you end up with two anvils!lordbinky wrote:The best example I've seen is when UPS broke an anvil in half.
