Just a simple introduction

Post by edward »

Hello everyone!

I purchased my MAX in the beginning of June and have been logging a lot of hours. My online nature is that of a lurker and observer, so you can be quite sure that over these past couple of months I have come to know several of you pretty well even though you don't know me

I just wanted to post up a formal introduction before I started joining more of the forum topics. Unlike most users, I'm just a short drive away from the SeeMeCNC facility (I'm in Fort Wayne, IN, and they're in Goshen, IN, which is about 1 hour WNW from here). I'm a mechanical engineer from Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and have grown up around "the shop."

It's hard for me to believe that it took until 2013 for me to get my own 3D printer, but like many have said...now I've got the bug!

P.S. - I didn't document my initial build, mostly because there are enough of those threads already. I have been documenting my modifications which already take two hands to count. I've recently published a couple of designs to Thingiverse and I'm working on more. Sometime soon I plan to start a "build" thread with my modifications for discussion.

I look for to "speaking" with all of you!!

Welcome to the forum!
I am looking forward to seeing your modifications. We all learn from what has been done
to modify the RMax and I enjoy seeing the pictures. Again, welcome.
