Im gnu here

Post by senju »

Hi All,
I have helped a friend build calibrate, and start improoving, a Rostock Max, (2nd edition?).
I am a Sagitarius, I enjoy wandering, sleeping on couches, and romantic walks on the beach. Not into astrology? Fine, I am an INTP, according to the MBTI, issued by a previous employer.
I use linux (since 2005), been programing micro controlers since the 1990s (not claiming to be good at it!) (lol).
I have joined this forum, with the hope of collaborating with other rostock developers, and owners, to the effect of simpilfying the calibration process.
I have found the (quality) calibration process to be very time consuming, and I would like to improve on this, posibly (probably) with the use of sensors.

I look forward to gaining everyones valuable insights, and I am completly willing to share!

Welcome.

There are lots of posts about calibration. Build something for calibration! If you can make it easy as pie, we'd all be interested!

I'm waiting on parts from Adafruit to build a laser tripping alert so I can stop relying on paper. I can't feel a damned thing with my hands - so the whole paper thing is more or less a non-starter for me. I'll be interested in what you figure out.
