I finally finished building my Rostock Max and I plug in my usb cable and the green light comes on. My Windows 7 Ultimate Laptop detects it and shows up as Unknown Device. I go to update the drive and I get the message "folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver"
I tried:
redownloading the drivers
2 other laptops, one Win 8 and the other Win 7 Starter
different usb cable
Now under the Unknown Device Properties under Device status I get "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
What could be wrong?

Re: Can't load USB Drivers
http://reprap.org/wiki/File:RAMBo_USBdriver.zip I've downloaded the current one.
In the instructions it says to Scroll down to Unknown Devices, and right click on RAMBo. Mine doesn't say RAMBo only Unknown device.

Re: Can't load USB Drivers
It sounds as though you are doing everything properly.
Since you have tested this on multiple computers the common denominator is the Rambo card itself.
You should send an email to [email protected] and report this problem, it's starting to sound as if
you have a defective card but the support team at seemecnc should determine that. Please let us know the
final outcome of this so that we all can learn from it.
