SETTING HEIGHT PROBLEM

Post by wjrudo »

ARGGG! I've set my towers and z height as per the instructions. When I run a print, the hot end nearly gets to the table, then moves upward about 1cm...There is where it starts to print. I tried to calibrate the z height many times. Some times it slams in to the table, moves upward about a cm, then starts to print. It does this when i try printing from the SD card only. When i connect to mattercontrol via USB, it prints perfect. I've tried to SD print with cura and I get the same bouncing z motion. All the belts, etc are tight and the machine is in perfect mechanical condition. Does anybody have any clue as to whats going on here?

If it prints fine with MatterControl and not with Cura, you probably have a setting issue going on with Cura. Can you print a MC file via SD?

Also, you don't say what model/rev printer you're using - that can help.

tnx.
