Max v2 - 2 Yellow Blinks when SD Inserted

So, my printer successfully completed a print - and in my normal way I pulled the SD and reinsterted to bring up the print menu, but instead of showing what files were available on the card the display flashes between NOZ/BED temperature readout to "Repetier 091S, ROSTOCK MAX, SeeMeCNC".

Every cycle I can see a yellow LED blinking twice on the inside of the control board.

My first attempt to troubleshoot was to bring in another known-good SD card, hoping maybe the card was corrupted -- but I get the same result with both cards.

Try reseating the cabling between the lcd and the adapter, as well as the adapter itself.

I have secured both ribbon cables between the LCD and RAMBo controller card. Nothing felt loose and after the check, the issue remains.

Based on some limited reading elsewhere it seems the system goes into continuous reboot if there's something funny with the SD card insertion.

I've ordered a replacement LCD board (inclusive of SD reader) for $18 after shipping, not bad if that resolves the issue. I'll keep you posted.

I have received the replacement LCD board -- and this will share my ignorance -- but the LCD Control Knob came pre-installed on the CCA.

Do I just pull real hard to get the knob off before installing the CCA?

Impatience won out over caution.

OK, so swapping the Reprapdiscount LCD controller and ribbon cables for new did NOT address the issue.

Neither did additional formatting on the SD cards.

Next up, purchasing a new SD card.

New SD card is working.
