Error: Unable to Slice

Post by jjenco »

Greetings!

Okay, so I just upgraded m RostockMax v2 with a new HE280 hotend. Upgraded firmware, installed Arduino and new driver, all per the published upgrade instructions. All went well.

Next, i downloaded and installed Cura v3.3.1 and installed on my computer. Setup my printer, extruder and profile. When I open the part I want to print, I get error that says 'Unable to Slice' (see attached pic).

Previously, PartDaddy used this file to print on his machine and he didn't mention that he had any issue with the file itself, so I'm assuming that the file is not corrupted.

Thanks for any guidance on what to do to correct? I'm a newbie so I need some specific step instruction.

Thanks for any help!! :D

John

It's telling you the settings that are errored out in the error message. I would find them, and try giving it reasonable values. I believe that you should be able to shut off the prime tower settings completely, and gradual infill seems like an experimental feature you may have toggled on, so it should also be easy to disable.
