The spy says hi!

Post by thingismith »

Hello, fellow printer enthusiasts! I'm Jason, from Huntington Beach (Orange County) California. I got my Rostock Max v2 a little over a year ago, and really enjoying it. I just love this forum, it has such a wealth of knowledge and helpful members, I make it my go to whenever I have issues or questions.

Let's see, so far I've printed a frame for a plexiglass enclosure, attached a tool holder, spare gluestick container, camera and pi container to the frame, installed an e3d v6, made a belted extruder, a filament container to keep my Taulman Bridge dry (I'm just about to finish my own remix), and about to install the accelerometer, as soon as I finish printing the mount for my hotend. I also got Simplify3d, which does have one or 2 minor flaws, but is still my favorite slicer so far.

Looks like you dove in head first. Nice looking mods!

Are you a designer or engineer by trade, or have you just picked this up as you got more and more into printing?

No, but I've always had a head for math and physics...owning this printer has made me feel like I've really missed my calling! Btw, I just uploaded my filament container remix on thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2243469.
