Hi from Philadelphia!

Post by Hobby Creek »

We've been a long time follower of SeeMeCNC, but haven't made a forum account until now.

We have the Rostock Max V1 and V2 in the shop, both heavily modded at this point. Probably ran through 40-50 spools between the two printers by now.

We've only recently had to time to document some of our mods and decided to share it back with the community as its been extremely helpful over the past few years. The V1 mods were done a long time ago and never got documented, but here's what it looks like:

The latest print is a housing we use to make a small fume extractor with. It's a decently challenging print with small footprint, overhangs, bridges, and little latches on the inside.

Our new(er) printer, the V2, has some more upgrades over the v1, and prints faster for the same resolution.

Its got all carbon carriages, arms, and effector with an accelerometer probe on an e3D hotend. This machine is great for any quick prototyping we have to do.

It took us a while to get to where we were, and it involved a lot of help from this forum. Thanks for all you creative guys posting your solutions to our little problems along the way.

p.s. not sure why the portrait pictures keep showing up landscape. Any way to fix that on here?
