I modified the script for radius=100mm so the dial indicator lifts between each reading. More accurate readings. The graph and .xls are the latest data and represent my final settings as of this writing.
The Excel worksheet I used to collect data and develop the positioning statements in the script is attached. Also attached is the script I ran to collect the data for each Alpha setting.
I posted updated graphs for the various Alpha settings using the new script on 7/25, 9:45 PM, EDT in the post entitled "Tower Rotation Study (Revised)".
Regarding the "Rostock 100.txt" file, open it, copy the entire text file and paste it into wherever you can store GCode scripts. I'm still running Repetier Host. I right-clicked on Macro button 5, pasted it in the window that popped up and clicked "OK".

Re: Tower Rotation Study 2 (Revised)
What's your end game with all of this data? Are you trying to reverse engineer what might be out of alignment on a machine, develop a leveling or annealing process, or something else?
Re: Tower Rotation Study 2 (Revised)
End game: ain't smart enough to reverse engineer. 1) trying to understand the effects of tower rotation in a somewhat comprehensive way and 2) provide a tool where others can analyze the performance of their RMax and make appropriate adjustments and see what those adjustments do. In short, just sharing with others in the hope that the stuff I did may be helpful to them. That's really about it.

Re: Tower Rotation Study 2 (Revised)
A noble pursuit. Thank you!
Re: Tower Rotation Study 2 (Revised)
A comprehensive primer on how build problems affect bed level is sorely lacking. At least I couldn't find it when I went through this process a couple of months ago. I had to work from first principles, made about a hundred 3D graphs in excel, and am still not completely sure I understand what's happening when I see an error graph like yours.
Bravo, please be sure to share your results (unlike me, who has forgotten what I discovered when I went through it).
