Hi guys,
I was wondering if it was possible to set the z height without the LCD controller. My controller is broken and G0 will not go below 0 so I figured I have to modify the values in the eeprom. Which value(s) should I modify? Is it OK to change the z height? What about the z probe?
Many thanks!

To do this, you've got to change the Z height in your EEPROM. Have you done that before?
I usually add a few mm to the current value, then jog it down with the manual controls. Figure out what Z height gives you the perfect tolerance, and subtract that from the number you entered in the EEPROM to find your new value.

Yeah, I was playing around with the z height but wasn't sure if it was the same value that the controller modifies or if there are any side effects.
Now that I know, though, will try it for real. Thank you Jimustanguitar!

I vaguely remember seeing somewhere a setting so that the software accepts negative values. Not sure if that applies here ghough.
