Hello all,
I got my first 3d printer just a few months ago. Got one from Kickstarter....and I do not really recommend that route. It's been just one problem after another. I think it was assembled by monkeys....our at least someone who does not know anything about proper use of a screwdriver. But every problem I had involved a lot of research and learning to fix, so in a way it's been good because a working printer would not have taught me nearly as much.
But almost every time I was in research mode search results brought me to this forum and do I got intrigued by this community that seemed to be more helpful and have more answers than any of the others that Google took me to. So I started learning about what this is about and am now wanting to build a restock....our something similar, I'm thinking about starting with trick lasers max metal frame and building into that from the get go instead of starting with the kit.
So far on my current printer I've made mostly toys for son and a delta throttle for playing star citizen....and if any of you ate into flying digital space ships I strongly recommend building the delta throttle, I built of the online plans originally but am in the middle of redesigning it now.

Welcome to the Forum!
Your idea of using the Trick Laser Frame is a reasonable way to obtain the capabilities of the Rostock Max, I have used one.
That is a cool looking picture you added but I am not sure what it is, perhaps you can clarify.
We are here to help so please ask questions as you go along in your build.
Happy building and printing!

I think it's like a joystick.

Yeah building up my parts list now. It will be fun building one that is similar to what everyone else is doing but still different from them all.Eaglezsoar wrote:Welcome to the Forum!

The picture is a delta throttle, it's a controller for a computer for flying space ships, it puts all your translational controls in one hand and you use a normal joystick in the other for all your rotational control, it's a real great way to control digital spaceships. I found it was super intuitive and I don't have to think about flying at all it just happens naturally.
There are some things I don't like about the original design so I'm doing a redesign. In fact the new base for my new version is the first thing I've printed that was my own design vs using someone else's files, it was a lot of fun.
Yes that video is of this same thing....though what the video didn't show is the joystick in the other hand so that flying is not all with the one controller. You could make a controller that did all six axis but I don't think it would be add intuitive and easy to fly.Tincho85 wrote:Bienvenido!
