I have a massive build I want to do but I need to slice it into smaller pieces that my printer can handle

Ahhh, Now I see,,,, you're looking for software to cut your model up into smaller sections that your slicer can generate code to fit the Rostock.

You can do that with MeshMixer, 123D, and FreeCad to name a few. I use 123D.

1.6.41 but the version should not matter they have had the split solid function for a long time I think.

Might want to add little holes and protrusions so it self aligns or better yet little tabs so it "clicks" back in to place.

Ahh yes, "massive" builds".
Not usually the domain of 3D printing, but it CAN be done.
I'm going through this now, since the PRACTICAL limit on ABS prints is about 10 cm - above that thermal stress and shrinkage cause cracking and/or deformities.

Solidworks can do it; basically you would need to design in the "joints", create assemblies from parts and use "mate".

Expensive unless you can get a student or ex military service purchase - or already have it funded for some other project.

I can't edit the above post, but had meant to say that in Solidworks "mate" will help you figure out where and how your joints don't fit, e.g. a sliding dovetail needs to be right, and I mean JUST RIGHT for the assembly to go together.
It can still be worth taking off a TINY bit from each mating surface to allow for slight outer wall irregularities - or you'll be filing plastic.

Netfabb is pretty easy. I've attached the archived free installer (since pulled from the website, but it should still work). I've done some stuff with it, as well as using Maya and Fusion 360 for similar tasks, but Netfabb is way easier to just split things.
