Hi Everyone,
I just finished the build on my black Rostock Max V2 and am very excited. All went well thanks to the quality hardware and instruction. It was just what I look for in a project.
After hearing (and reading in the instructions!) the Horrors of the Tape!!! stories I was apprehensive. However, it was all for not. The tape peeled right off. I was very impressed.
As I said the build so well, I was able to include several family members. Good times for all.
I am currently dealing with a compile error in Arduino concerning the firmware update, but am working support and should be up and running soon!
Looking forward getting to know and work with all of you in the future.
Thanks from Portland OR,
Charlie

With the compile error, double check you've got the right board and com port selected in Arduino.
I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz

There is a rash of Arduino related compiler errors popping up right now (not just RAMBo related). The Arduino IDE software was updated this week to v1.6.0. I think the SeeMeCNC guys are rolling a new batch of Repetier firmware that is compatible with Arduino v1.6.0 and in the meantime new users just need to use v1.0.6.

I've identified the issue and fix for John - but it still needs to be tested before I commit the change. I don't have time to do a proper job, so if anyone wants to beat on the fix, do so! You're going to change every instance of "prog_char" to "char" in the ui.cpp file and then recompile.
It builds without error on both the 1.0.6 and 1.6 IDEs, but I've only had one person get back to me so far (he's had no problems).
