299.00 resin printer

Post by jram »

Hi All,
One of my friends sent this along, I'm thinking about a resin printer at some point but I know very little about the process. Just wanted to see what people think of this printer. It looks like the print examples aren't that great. Is that because of the use of LEDs and not a projector? Here is the linkhttp://www.iboxprinters.com/

The prints look like junk because the resolution of the LCD they're using to mask the UV light is super low res. Each pixel is 328 microns, which is awful. 150 microns is considered low res for a projector setup, 100 microns makes is hard to see pixelation with the naked eye, and 50 microns is ideal for jewelry/superfine printing. 328 is just terrible.

Price point is excellent for a nice starter printer.
