New Printer - some guy in Ireland

Post by Frank C »

Greeting.

Getting the thing here was a bit of an epic but 'all's well that ends well'.
Delivered (Feb 3)
Finished build (Feb10) took about 3-4 hrs per night over week and bit. (Slow and careful.)
Firmware uploaded and tested last night (Feb11)
- had a bit of 'argy-bargy' with various Arduino versions not compiling firmware etc + various issues surrounding this.
Perhaps there need to be some indication of the existence of this issue in documentation/faq etc. (Can be bit of a frightener for us first timers)

Apart from the foregoing, the printer is a thing of beauty. I had decided some time ago that the delta form factor was ultimate expression of elegance, beauty and a rational mind. I had begun a parts list for custom build, then I happened upon your site - instant gratification!

Will add a few observations of my experiences going forward but for now I am the perfect example of the completely satisfied customer. This went smoothly - from box of parts to finished product & fired up first time with everything working as advertised. (apart from the few buttocks clinchers at the firmware stage)

A singularly gratifying experience.
Regards to all.
