I got the good news email today with my tracking number for my MAX and glass bed. And it was more that a week ahead of time. I messed the free shipping by a couple of days but oh well.
Anyhow this will be my first printer and I am trying to get up to speed by finding anything I can to read about setup and calibration.
So I wondered over to the Repetier site and I was reading about the configuration.h file.
So I downloaded the Arduino IDE for windows and got the Repetier software also.
Rep site says to install the IDE software and find a file in the Repetier folder that is labeled Repetier.pde.
I can't find the file in any folder that was in the download.
Do I have to have the board plugged into the computer to be able to do this?
Repetier for Rostock question
Re: Repetier for Rostock question
Just to make sure, you know there are 2 different repetiers right? One is called repetier-host which is what you use on your computer to talk to the printer and the second repetier, the one with the pde file, is a firmware you can upload onto the printer.

Re: Repetier for Rostock question
FWIW I'd strongly recommend you get thins working with a known "good" firmware configuration, either John's version of Marlin, or one of the configured repetier firmwares that's floating around, before deciding to try and create your own configuration.
