Hey SeeMePeople, New guy here

Post by jajern »

Hello Everyone! I'm Jason.

Just got home with my brand new Orion about an hour ago. It's my first printer so I'm pretty excited. Already got it up and printing blinky. I took some pics of the assembly but honestly they look just like the manual.

I'm a friend of guanu/Andy so I picked it up from his place and got a tour of the shop while I was there. The Orion rode in my back seat with a seat belt on for the 2 hour drive home. Got home, plugged some cables in, homed it and loaded the blinky file. Couldn't have been easier.

Here's a couple pics of it setup and sitting in its new home.

Congrats on the new printer! You will love it and if you have any questions there is a HUGE bunch of folks here who will be super happy to give you a hand. Poke around and read a bit, there is a ton of great info to learn from all the good folks around. Be sure to post a few of the things you a make to the "what are YOU making" section. We always love to see what everyone is printing!

Haha! My name's Jason too! Nice to have another Jason around, welcome to the forums. :)
If at first you don't succeed, you're doing something wrong. Try again, and if it fails again, try once more. Through trial and error, one can be the first to accomplish something great.

Home is in Griffith, so the northwest side of IN. Elkhart is about 1 1/2 hrs away. Thanks for the invite! That's not too far of a drive so I might have to check it out sometime.

If nothing else, plan on making the trek for MRRF in mid March.
