I've had a Rostock Max v2 for a few months now. It's sitting on my desk - right above a Statasys uPrint SE Plus. Most days, I'm printing on the Rostock. The print quality, for the most part, is indistinguishable. I've been watching a few threads on this forum and decided it was time to participate. I've made a few quick modifications and I'll share them on the proper forum.

I'm an engineer by practice, not pedigree. According to my resume, I've been a combat engineer, an electrical engineer, an automation engineer, a mechanical engineer, a mechatronics engineer, and a principal engineer. I'm not sure what I am, other than just an engineer. That's not to say I haven't taken a few detours in my life. I've also been a custom gunsmith, a SI consultant with a "Big Four" firm, and a mercenary.

For now, I'm at a startup (Saturday Garage) as a principal engineer working on consumer robotics. That's were the Rostock comes into play. It's printing a lot of the components for our prototypes.

I grew up not far from SeeMeCNC in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I'll try. Be warned: I'm just pretending to be an engineer. I must be doing something right, though. No one's caught on and I've been at it for about twenty years now.

Don't judge me on the mess at my bench right now. I'm wringing out some electronics development. That should (...sort of...) excuse the mess on the Rostock. You can see the uPrint hanging out under the bench. This, folks, is the reality of a hardware startup. No ping pong tables.

The Play-Doh is to hold boards when I solder components. It's always worked for me. That's the story I'm sticking to at least.
