Momma told me "You need to work on your printing"

Post by elwooddbeauchamp »

Hello from Hickory Flat, Mississippi...yea, I hear you snickering...Well, I live half way between Elvis' Home in Tupelo and his Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee. That puts me 2 blocks off I22, exit 48 (or 48 miles SE of the Tennessee/Mississippi Border. Lived in Memphis quite a few years, worked in a Tool and Die in Olive Branch, MS as well as a few other "High Tech", modern companies. One such as a Machine Assembly Lead Man for a company building Specialized Machines and Plant Equipment. Some examples are: Precision metering, weighing, filling, sealing of the propellant material canisters, which when ignited, expand the Air Bags in your Vehicle.......Fully automated machines that accordion-fold and insert into the retaining cover, for the Airbag Curtain running along the sides on your vehicles' headliner.....and about anything else you can imagine, for the automation industry's' thirst for "More, Faster, Safer, Cheaper" budgets. At times, building machines for suppliers of parts for the Automotive Industry, final drawings for some parts critical of building the machine to load that part into, Rapid Prototypes had to be made, and we often received just such parts as our 3D printers are producing as I am typing this Borrrrreing Dribble...

I have a Rostock Max v2 and it is perched on the desk of the computer on which I am using right now. I also must Compliment the designers and engineers for this machine on a virtually Flawless Kit making assembly a Dream...unlike any of the machines aforementioned...Thanks and my hat is off to you gents/ladies!

I am making 8 segments of a 1/10th scale prototype of a ########## (redacted due to Confidentially Agreement with Customer) so it can be tested for, at least 1/10th of, it's intended function. Incidentally, that is the reason I, or rather, "they" purchased the Rostock...the Commercial Printing Companies wanted upward of $6000 for this project.

Well...I'm sure if you see my user name again, you will probably want to quickly scroll past my dribble to something not so painful to your eyes...lol

This is a Super Forum, and to everyone replying to my questions and comments to date, and to come, for that matter...Thank You!

I'm not sure if I can be of much help to 3D Printer Users, but I will if I can.
