New here, from Tampa, Florida!

Post by lightninjay »

So I've been into the 3d printer scene for a few years but just now got around to assembling my own printer. Few things about myself:
1) I like long moonlit walks on the beach
2)...

Just kidding, but seriously, I'm a college student who has a deep interest in the potential applications of 3d printing in the area of metal foundry work such as metal melting and the particularly difficult art of mold-crafting. With an application like this, I could make all sorts of end-user consumer products, and I'll have the advantage of knowing exactly how it was made!

I'm not new to the netiquettes of a forum, I've been a member of numerous forums for many years, most notably XDA-Developers, a phone-hacker's safe haven.

I look forward to being around here and getting to hopefully contribute as much as I glean valuable information from all of you!

Also, does anyone think it would be too pretentious to email support about two dead lines of pixels on my lcd screen? Image of what I mean is attached.

If at first you don't succeed, you're doing something wrong. Try again, and if it fails again, try once more. Through trial and error, one can be the first to accomplish something great.

Welcome to the forum!
The missing pixels should not be present on a new printer. I would definitely contact support about it.
We will help with any questions you may have and how about sending some pictures of your new printer.
Happy Printing and we hope you will be an active member of the forum.
