Hello from Denmark

Post by Hansen »

Hi all

I'm from Denmark (You know, that tiny country in Scandinavia up north ;) ), and I just bought my first 3D printer (Rostock Max V2) :D

I'm an R&D Electronics Engineer working in the medical field, so I think I'll be able to contribute with regards to the electronics, stepper motors etc. Hopefully, you guys can help me with the rest, as I have little to no experience with 3D printers other than being around some SLS printers and a MakerBot ( ) at work.

I've been looking at buying a 3D printer for over a year now, and I have been quite keen on both Makerbots and Ultimaker. However, one day I came across the Rostock, which seemed to fit my needs quite well. The price is also far more realistic than other printers.

While waiting for the kit to arrive in a few weeks, I've started to look around for filament. I wonder, do you guys have a preferred supplier of filament - primarily PLA - for use with the Rostock? I am looking for the best surface finish possible and preferably a European supplier...

Have a very nice day! :D

Welcome to the Forum!
In the areas that you are unsure about we will be glad to help!
In the case of filament and what to buy, one of our European members
will read this and get back to you on where to get your filament.
We are glad you bought a Rostock Max.
Enjoy your build!
