Howdy everybody, I submit to your exceptional knowledge in all things 3D Printer related! I have a Rostock Max where the Rambo board died on me and I switched out the board with a spare Geeetech one http://www.geeetech.com/rambo-reprap-ar ... p-686.html. I set everything up, flashed the preconfigured firmware to the board and believe that most of the kinks have been ironed out. However I'm now dealing with:
1. The hotend isn't heating even though the bed is heating.
2. The fan control isn't working even though the LEDS going into the same power do function.
3. There doesn't appear to be a short and the fuses are good.
Everything is wired properly which makes me believe that there is an issue with the board not jiving with the firmware. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I would like to start the printer going again! I've also read the great guide by Gene and can't quite find an answer.

Re: Hotend Not Heating + Fan Not Cooling
Do you have a mulitmeter that you can test the outputs on the heater / fan and see whether you're getting power from the board itself?
I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz

Unfortunately I don't have one handy, this is at my home and not at uni, leaving me with some limited supplies. >.<
