Still have x-axis skew after bearing upgrade
Still have x-axis skew after bearing upgrade
I printed out some bearings layer by layer, I plastic welded all of them onto each bearing assembly for the x-axis(so 4 total instead of just two). The problem is I still have skew on the x-axis even though there is absolutely NO play on the carriage. I also upgraded the z and y-axis too but i didn't think they needed to be welded on so I just used the tri-bearing cover. I am printing slow (200mm per minute) and still getting skew. I can't get it straight enough to print out the idler upgrade although there is very little backlash . I finally got my warped bed level by cutting some plexiglass and mounting it on top of the old bed and it is level. I am really out of ideas now

Bump, my idlers were too tight but still skewed, maybe a belt is too tight? Is that enough?

Skew is difficult to eliminate, sometimes skew comes from the drivers missing steps, sometimes it is pure mechanical like belts/too much friction.
If you swap X and Y axis on your step motor driver, do you still see skew in the X-axis? Or does it follow the Y-axis?
