Slow Extruder lowering

Post by Selwyn »

Have a problem lowering my extruder head - when i go to lower it using the manual commands it lowers really slowly - thought it may be a problem with the motor but it still rises back up to the end stops at a normal rate.

Also results when calibrating were odd as explained below

command G0 Z5 X77.94 Y-45 F3500

When the printer lowers down to the other two positions (G0 Z5 X-77.94 Y-45 F3500 and G0 Z5 X0 Y90 F3500) it moves rapidly

When it lowers to the G0 Z5 X77.94 Y-45 F3500 position it moves very very slowly.

Any ideas

The speed of manual movements can be adjusted in the printer settings. Travel feed rate and Z-axis feed rate are the ones you want to change. I think Repetier has the default set so slow so you're less likely to crash into the bed during setup.
