Ramsey stepper driver SMD1 fully assembled and tested. I no longer need this.
Modifications to this item are:
* Barrel jack has been removed and two wires (18ga) come out with crimp 1/4" terminals. They can be removed and another mechanism for power can be installed.
* Motor plug has been removed and a 4 pin compatible plug has been installed. The installed plug is the same as the one that comes with the three access step motor driver board.
* IC socket installed for driver chip in anticipation of replacing driver chip in the future. Also a big heat sink has been added with thermal tape to hold it in place. This modification has a few pros and cons, pros, the chip can be replaced at ease if needed; cons, the PCB was meant to act as a thermal heat sink, that is why I had to add a big heat sink to the driver chip. I can reverse this if you want, I can remove the IC socket and directly solder the IC to the board. The only downside to this is the big heat sink will no longer fit on the driver IC because it sits so close to the PCB.
No modifications have been made to the PCB, so any of my changes can be reversed.
