Spiderweb thin ABS as nozzle leaves

Post by McSlappy »

Two opposite sides of a thin walled print:

This is the location of the nozzle leaving one side and moving over the opposite. It initially left a spider web of ultra thin strands between the two.

Thoughts on this?

Rostock Max. Repetier .80 firmware (does that seem right?). Glowing ABS filament. 230 extruder temp. 60 bed temp.
I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz :)

Have you tried increasing retraction length or speed?
Purple = sarcasm

Please do a board search before posting your question, many have been answered with very time consuming detail already.

it looks like that is also the start location of the loops? try randomizing the loop start location if so

Retract helped a little, there are some blobs on the location still, I'll do the randomize now.

I'm continuing this thread here since it seemed more fitting to a run of failed prints :)
