hello everyone!
Just ordered myself a Rostock MAX kit and am eagerly anticipating the build and a new bot in the house!
I've have a Makerbot Replicator 1 since it launched a few years ago and although it's produce stellar prints and I've modified almost every bit of it to make it far superior than its initial design, I'm jumping off the MBI boat. I'm tired of replacing its mightyboard every few months since MBI has long since forgotten about this machine and hasn't addressed its critical design flaw (easily shorted end stops blow up its 5V reg among other problems) so I'm hopefully going to head to greener pastures.
I've been doing some reading and decided to purchase one of these kits since it looks like it offers up a lot of what I had with my Replicator in addition to being a delta bot and a much larger build volume!

Re: Hello from Vancouver
Just wanted to warn you, the word Makerbot is considered worse than a four letter word around here. (just kidding)
You'll love your new printer once you get it built. I thought the build was the best part because I love to build things,
I hope you are the same. Welcome to the forum and remember we are here to help you when you have problems or
questions.

Thanks all, very much looking forward to assembling this machine! As much as I enjoyed the Replicator when it worked I never got the satisfaction of building one from scratch.
That's not to say though that I didn't completely disassemble and reassemble it multiple times
