Fan Direction after Upgradeing to 29amp PS

Post by MHZathras »

After upgrading my V2 machine's power supply from the old ATX supply to the new 29 amp frame unit I have noticed that the new fan I installed on the new rear right panel is sucking outside air into the area above the internal fan on the new power supply. Is this the correct direction? Seams like it should be removing hot air inside the printer base to the outside. That would mean air intake would come in that big hole in the bottom of the printer. The fan on the power supply cycles during prints now. I did not observe the flow direction in the power supply before I installed it.

I think you installed it backwards. Mine exhausts the air as per the build instructions I think. There is an arrow on the fan I think that shows the direction and the upgrade instructions tell which way it goes.

I have gone back and reviewed my installation. I had it installed correctly. I am felling more flow now. The fan blades must have been restricted by an internal cable. Thanks for your reply.
