Hi from the UK

Post by Zob »

Hey all,

I assembled my Rostock MAX v3 about a month ago. It ran fine first time with no issues and despite a few hardware problems since (which the guys at seemecnc are sorting out) I'm having a great time printing small, mostly useless objects in PLA. The 20mm calibration cube is a firm favorite :-)

I've been messing with different slicers and already added a spare Raspberry Pi I had laying about so octoPrint is doing good things, especially since the addition of the new calibration plugin. Having some issues with that too but I'll address those elsewhere.

Anyway, hi to everyone. You'll no doubt see me in the forums asking those stupid questions...and don't tell me there are no stupid questions - I work in support - there are plenty of stupid questions! All part of the learning process in any case.

Hi Zob,

I am from Melb in Aus and you feel a bit like a bit of an explorer at times and freight and things but..... I have Rostock Max V2 that probably is nearer to a three with all the mods I done to it, wouldn't change it to another type though. Next mod will be a Duet controller with a display panel.... Never ends...

Rostock Max V2, Ball Cup Arms, New Carriages, HE280, Dampers, PSU Breathing, Simplify 3D, GeckoTek3D, Raspberry Pi3. Duet soon... Kossel Mini still under construction.
