Re: Shorted layer fan
I ended up using flush cutters to cut off the old fets, tinned the pads, and used a wooden toothpick to hold down the fet and tapped the legs one by one to solder them. It worked but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Shorted layer fan
So last night i was finally getting around to wiring up my layer fan and apparently i was working too late because I managed to not notice a short in my wiring. Long story short in the troubleshooting process I connected this shorted fan to all three of my pwm fan control headers. None of my fan ...

Re: RostockMAX V3 to Duet WiFi conversion instructions
It might be time to admit that I just burned the $30 and switch to FSRs, I'm so done trying to troubleshoot this. Any chance you did a write up as good as this one for FSRs on a duet?

Re: RostockMAX V3 to Duet WiFi conversion instructions
So I'm also having a few issues and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. I'm getting the issue where my probe will skip across the bed because it's not triggering consistently. I've tried sensitivity settings between 5 and 70 and messed with the f value (speed on the probe movement if I ...

Re: Complete upgrade - result: Printer does nothing!!! Please help!
I'd like to piggyback on to this, I just installed probe board and i'm getting the same boot loop. I've double checked all my wiring, tried swapping the thermistor leads and double checked my firmware changes and can't find any issues so i'm pretty much out of ideas. This is what my terminal shows ...

Re: Trying to do first print, prints look blobby and thin
yeah it definitely was, i've been doing a few prints and they're turning out fine (not great but I also haven't done much calibration so it's entirely my fault). I got kinda scared about bumping the extruder to 240 because of it only being rated to go to 247 so I'll just wait till my prometheus is ...

Re: Trying to do first print, prints look blobby and thin
My local home depot has makerbot abs, I might run over and see if they have any natural filament Edit: home dept only had PLA so I went to a local component electronics store (Vetco if you're in the seattle area go there, they're awesome) and it turned out that my blac ABS just wasnt extruding ...

Black ABS (from sainsmart)
HOTEND 235
Bed 80
Speeds (whatever the defaults are in matter control I'll be home in like half an hour to check)
I have a Prometheus v2 in the mail because I've been hearing an all metal hotend should be your first upgrade

Re: Trying to do first print, prints look blobby and thin
I've tried lowering the z incrementally down to the point where it was just tracing the shape in the glue and it didn't seem to help, I'll try the adjusting in the firmware

I've been trying to fit the fan shroud but I just cant seem to get a solid first layer. My first layer keeps looking weird and blobby, any ideas?
