Delta Error Simulator
Just for yuks (and because my command-line simulator was too slow), I wrote a web-based delta simulator so you could see what kinds of bed errors you get from various kinds of mechanical deviations. I don't expect this to be terribly useful, but it's fun to play with: http://www.delorie.com ...

Re: 3W, 4W, 7W hot end resistors...
An E3D is on the shopping list, but $2 in resistors gets me up and running again. I guess my question was... it seems a bigger wattage resistor is a snugger fit, and would transfer heat better, but a smaller wattage resistor concentrates the heat in one spot (if you pot it right). Which is preferred ...

3W, 4W, 7W hot end resistors...
I'm replacing the heater resistors in my hotend, and noticed that there's plenty of space in the pre-drilled holes. I can fit a 4W or even 7W 6.8 ohm resistor in there. Is there any advantage to sticking with a smaller (physically) 3W resistor? Any advice on getting the heat efficiently out of the ...

Re: Auto Level - Auto Calibration Talk
After spending a week or more reading all about the calibration problems we all seem to be having (me too) I'm taking a stab at understanding them myself. I made my own z-probe which seems repeatable enough, got out all my measuring tools, started fiddling... and now I have some questions. ASSUMING ...

Best practices for changing nozzles?
SO I got an 0.3mm nozzle to do some small gears, and managed to swap out the 0.5mm - but only after having to completely disassemble the hotend, clean it out, and basically start from scratch to put the new nozzle on, because I really didn't know what I was doing and couldn't find any good docs on ...
