Re: Solved: Z Banding due to heated bed
Hi Eaglesoar, In your EEPROM settings there should be a heat manager value for both the hot end and the heated bed. 0 = bang-bang, 1 = PID control, 3 = dead-time control, I'm not sure what 2 is for. the Kp, Ki and Kd values are your PID constants (if you have 1 for the heat manger value) the Kp ...

Solved: Z Banding due to heated bed
Okay so I had z banding issues for the longest time, especially on small prints. I tried turning off the bed after the first layer and voila, issue solved! I can't PID tune to 92C since the process will time out, so I started at 80C and ran the PID tune to 92C. It gave me some really funky numbers ...

Real print volume of new delta arms
Does anyone know the real print volume with the new ball cup arms? They are 290 mm long, how could I calculate it?
On that topic, how much improvement has been seen with the new arms over the u-jointed arms?

Poor layer quality on multi-part prints
I've calibrated my machine to get amazing prints for single parts. When I try to have multiple parts printed at once, my layers aren't smooth and i get striations and basically very minor layer alignment issues. Not happy about this at all, I've taken off the arms and joints and made sure everything ...

Grid Support is dragging
I'm trying to print something with grid support and everything sounds and looks okay for the actual object but when it prints the support material, it seems to drag on the top layer. Most noticeable is the sound but it looks like it's dragging slightly. Is there a setting that causes this? The ...

Optimal speed without compromising quality
These are the speeds I currently use in MatterControl that I've had really good quality prints with. Can I increase any of these speeds with a significant reduction in print time and without compromising quality? Can anyone else post up their speed settings? I use the same speeds for PLA and ABS.

Great Canadian filament supplier
I know how hard it is to find a good Canadian supplier so I wanted to share with any Canadians on this forum. Found these guys located in Montreal with some amazing prices. I bought 4 spools of filament and have not had any quality issues whatsoever. Would love to see these guys get some support ...

Where to buy alternative nozzle?
I want to buy the 0.35 mm nozzle but I find it ridiculous that shipping is $15 USD to Canada. I'm not even going to mention the amount of headache I had to deal with with brokerage fees/border taxes/etc when I bought my printer in the first place. Is there anywhere else that sells a nozzle with the ...

Repeating vertical issues
Hey guys, one week into printing on my first 3D printer, RMV2. Quality has been great so far, this is the first taller print I've done and this is showing up, any ideas what's causing it? Assuming it's a mechanical issue. [img]https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t34.0-12/11251522 ...
