Re: Power supply blew up in the first 30 minutes.
Thanks! I got myself a Corsair CS750M, that should do fine. However, I don't have much experience manipulating PSUs so I'm not sure which cable I should modify and how. Has anyone had to adapt a modular Corsair PSU to their Rostock? It would be great if you could help me out with adapting it to the ...

Re: Monolithic Platform for E3Dv6 Hot End
With the new setup, I gained about 11mm more height and can print just over 400mm now. Couple of issues with having the new platform close to the bed. One, it's hardier to see right where the nozzle is printing. Second, watch out for the arms hitting the binder clips when getting close to the ...

The motor dampers are not that hard to mount. I added mine afterwards. I just removed lower acrylic covers, loosened the belts and unscrewed the motors. Of course you do have to re calibrate but it does make a nice improvment on sound.

Re: Power supply blew up in the first 30 minutes.
I just installed a corsair myself. I had to look up the pinouts for 24 pin atx plug and pci-e plugs. Then you will know which wires are pos and ground. Also which wire on the atx plug that is to switch the power supply on. Just Google the pinouts for the plugs.

Re: Monolithic Platform for E3Dv6 Hot End
Why not just use the same thermistor as use in the stock head? Seems like updating the thermistor type would then not be needed. nitewatchman Both thermistors look the same and maybe the same part number, but I need to confirm if they both are the same or measure the same range. I would like to ...

Re: power supply dead in 1 week
All fixed now. Bought a corsair rm1000 power supply and installed it. Works like a champ now. And being modular, a lot less wires to clutter things up.

Re: M code for thermistor type?
Ya I burned out a heater cartridge. I mistakenly changed ext pid max to 300 instead of max temp . New heater cartridge and it back to normal. Now to try out my new e3d. Thanks for the help.

Re: M code for thermistor type?
Ok , so I did as stated above and after went to run the autotune pid and the hot end heated up, and then the autotune failed after some time. Now hot end won't heat up. It is showing temp readings on LCD so I think thermistors are ok. Could my heater cartridge have burned out??

Re: M code for thermistor type?
My main concern is this, if I load the firmware up in the arduino ice and make the change to the configuration file, and upload it, will all my settings revert back to initial settings? Essentially starting over?

M code for thermistor type?
I upgraded to an e3d and need to change the thermistor type in the firmware. Having trouble figuring out how to do that. I know I have to edit the configuration.h file but after that I don't know what to do. I guess I don't really know how to upload the change. Will this also rest or all my previous ...

Re: power supply dead in 1 week
Thanks for the info guys. Power supply is not covered by the warranty so I am on my own to get another one. Deffinently going to be modular to cut down on extra wires. Waiting on e3d hot end too. Gonna be a partial rebuild I guess.

Re: power supply dead in 1 week
I have contacted them about the hot end and they helped me get it sorted. Waiting to hear back about power supply. I'm not really unhappy, things happen sometimes. I understand this. I'm just wondering if I should upgrade the power supply or put another one just like it back in. The power supply ...

power supply dead in 1 week
So I have a max v2 kit I built about a week ago. Today was having an issue with melted filament leaking from where the nozzle threads in. Pulled it apart and found the end of the ptfe tube had shrank, allowing material to creep by. So I got that fixed by cutting a piece from the Bowden tube and ...

Re: Bad adhesion between first and second layer
Update, So i checked my Z and it was off. Now first layer prints better. Now that i have my Z corrected i can see that my build platform is a little uneven. One side of first layer is thicker then the other. I've been trying to find the right info on fine tuning this max, and haven't been able to ...

Re: Bad adhesion between first and second layer
When I first calibrated my machine I didn't have the pei sheet on there yet. After I added the sheet I had to reset my Z. Is there anything else that should have been redone also?

Hi all, Just ordered my Rostock Max kit. This will be my first 3d printer. I kinda have a love already for the design of the deltas. This seems like a great community and I'm glad to be a part of it. I'm sure I can find all the help I need here. Anyone know the estimated shipping time from seemecnc ...
