Re: nozzle dragging / smooshing into prints, im exhausted :(

No I haven't, it does crackle a bit when printing, I wasn't really worried about it because I don't need the prints to be super smooth, just the right size and there is a tolerance allowed with this part. Either way, I want to start putting all my filaments together in a container and run a portable ...

Re: mod ezstruder to print ninjaflex at high speeds

thanks. i just realized that I had to dremel a little material off for the hobbed gear to fit well , so keep that in mind, i only took JUST enough off for the gear to spin freely and no more.

Hey guys, here it is

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:488678

Its a work in progress but i've been using it without issues so far !

You do have to drill a little depth in the bottom for the filament tubing coupler but thats all. everything else should be plug and play....

Re: Custom Extruder for printing TPE Ninjaflex and other sof

hey, i used a drill bit at the end of the hole to increase the size enough to self tap the fitting. its been holding up really well so far i've printed a lot with it. I'm going to keep printing and see if there is anything to change before i release the file. I think i'll make it print with the ...

Custom Extruder for printing TPE Ninjaflex and other softies

Okay, after a few days of wondering why I can't print ninjaflex with the simple extruder mod mentioned on this forum I decided to just make my own part and after a few revisions it worked out amazing i couldn't print at 10mms even for a minute without a major jam no matter what I tried.. I had the ...

Re: mod ezstruder to print ninjaflex at high speeds

just to update, i just wound up modeling my own extruder base plate that has support for the filament right up to the gears on the entrance and exits. this finally worked but no more than 30mms , i really would love to know how you are printing 50mms with the above mod only :S

Re: Having tons of issues with Ninjaflex - anyone have any l

I think what i'll do now is work on making a custom model to print for the extruder using this idea , so it doesnt have to be "hacked together" like. I'll try to use as much factory hardware as possible so there isnt anything special to buy incase anybody else wants to print this out and use it, i ...

Re: Having tons of issues with Ninjaflex - anyone have any l

Hey, thanks for your reply. So yes my printer was 100% stock including the hot end, extruder etc. I went searching around on thingiverse and found a custom extruder that was made to handle flex materials like the ninjaflex stuff. I did this late last night and didn't have the ability to go grab new ...

Re: Having tons of issues with Ninjaflex - anyone have any l

thanks for your reply, i'll take the paper out and see if that helps. I put pla in the machine right now because im going to try to design my own extruder or try to modify one available on thingiverse that is made to go right up against the hobbed gear. not sure if its something you can see in my ...

Re: mod ezstruder to print ninjaflex at high speeds

I've tried this mod it didn't work well for me so i changed the tip of the tubing so that it had a point (double cut / angle) and fit as close as possible up to the idler and hobbed gear. but still no luck, its fine at crawling speeds but retraction etc will easily jam up [img]http://upload.vstanced ...

Re: Ninja Flex TPE Filmament + EZStruder issues

Sorry for the bump but wanted to add.. i had the same issue going from ABS to ninjaflex last night.. what I did was manually push the filament into the hot end for a while... I probably manually pushed over 100mm of ninjaflex into the hot end to flush out the abs.. it was black (black abs) for a ...

Having tons of issues with Ninjaflex - anyone have any luck?

Hey, I tried to search the forums for anything related to ninjaflex and haven't found much other than the one thread with the small extruder mod to feed ninjaflex a bit easier. I see he was able to print at 50mms, I'm not even sure how that is possible. I did the same mod and a few more to try and ...
