Re: The build has begun!
...Realy should learn to not say things like that even in jest - one of my hydraulic couplings failed last night, bit of a shame as it's not even a month old... Fortunately there's a hydraulics place round the corner. So back up and running this morning and time to take ccavanaugh's kindly donated ...

Re: The build has begun!
Here you go! Tested with Arduino IDE 1.0.5 Just copy over your delta settings, speeds, etc, although as set, I am getting nice results. I have enabled the hotend/Peek fan to run automatically if above 40C in temperate or when turned on. This means it will run for awhile after a print job completes ...

Yes please!ccavanaugh wrote:If wanted, I can upload my build based on the latest Repetier devel branch. LCD is working just fine and you can just tune your settings from mine. The advantage is not having to worry about the freeze during print bug.

Re: The build has begun!
Prety much went round in a big circle - learned a bit, and arived back at the beginning with the SeeMeCNC firmware, so I recon I must have treaked a veriable that was happier untweaked. Only now the hot end consistantly maintains a temperature that's 5 deg lower than the target - probably another ...

Re: The build has begun!
Ok... forget that: yes my LCD is blank, but as the printer only prints dry runs now - I obviously have a more fundamental issue

Re: The build has begun!
OK, so I've been a bit quiet recently because I've been fighting a problem that appears to be quite a frequent flyer on the forum: the dreaded mid print lock-up. The one with no sympoms, errors or logs... So after fighting with github - and then reding the instructions :D and then fighting with ...

Re: The build has begun!
Hello t1tch Started following your post and I'm amazed how fast you received your kit from US. Don't your imports go trough customs? If they did they work fast over there. Here in Portugal a parcel can stay up to 3 or 4 weeks apprehended until they send a bill to pay an extra 23% VAT + 3% of some ...

Re: The build has begun!
Had a strange thing happen last night: one of the arms detached itself from the cheapskate! it just fell off... Upon instection it turned out that some gauling had occured between the U-joint and its axle. I had to put the joint in a vice and tap the axle out with a hammer and nail! I thought I'd ...

Re: The build has begun!
Well, don't think it went to badly: Obviously has room for improvement :D Watching it as it printed, it only managed to span 1/3 - 1/2 the bridge. The ‘squiggly’ bits are from the attempt to lay the second layer. Printed in PLA ...

 Just thought you bike guys might find this interesting: http://inhabitat.com/ralf-holleis-unveils-ultralight-custom-track-bike-with-3d-printed-lugs/ I think it's awesome :!: Now that is a thing of beauty - wouldn't want to ride it if I had one: I'd need one mother of a mantleplace to put it ...

Re: The build has begun!
The build is moving on at a good pace: Those curtains realy are nasty... But now I have come accross a problem: the RAMBo board (rev 1.2d) does not appear to have the PSEL USB jumpers of it... expect it's just the build guide ...
