I was looking thru my old links in my browser favorites and came back across Gecko Drives http://www.geckodrive.com/products-order.html

they can control servos and steppers, seems like it might be the next step for running tur servos on a delta.

Geckodrives are very high quality drives, I have used them in past retrofits. If you want to run servos, you need the servo specific drive.

The idea of running servos on a printer is neat, however I don't see any utility to it other than it faulting out rather than missing steps. A well built, calibrated and programmed printer will do just fine on steppers.
