Alan Z. here.
My Rostock Max v2 kit should arrive here tomorrow. I expect some very busy days ahead.
My current 3D printer is a New Matter MOD-t, a very interesting machine, I hope they do well.
Now that I've dipped my toes into the 3D printing waters, my next goal is to print prosthetic hands and donate them to the Enable project (a friend of mine is already doing this with his printers)
I have WAY WAY too many interests... they include woodturning, cooking, motorcycling, mandolin, videography, audio, photography, the list goes on and on. Each interest cannibalizes time from the other interests, so it's a tricky balancing act.
I am clearly in it for the toys. I enjoy acquiring equipment, learning the tools, and pushing the tools.
Fun stuff.
Professionally, I administer a very large online community (over 400,000 members) for a computer hardware and software company.
It's nice to be here.
