Brand new Rostock Max v2!

I recently finished building my max with Geneb's help! That guy is a whiz!! He even avoided making fun of me when I cut the filament tube in half, cut the 22ga instead of 18ga, using O instead of 0 in gcode, and lastly-heating my hot end to 267c (FYI-setting max temp in gcode to 300 has no failsafe...gcode is wayyyy too trusting of me!)

Anyhow, I have been a printing machine for the last 48 hours. Gene's calibration tips at the end of the menu are crucial. I think I have gained hours and hours due to his advice.
I hope to be a positive member of the forum. Thanks for all your posts, they've been useful.

Welcome to the zoo! :) I'm glad you enjoyed the class.

Just FYI, regular heating commands will be limited by the max temp setting, but for some reason the M303 auto-tune process doesn't obey it. That's why when you entered M303 S300, it went on it's merry way. :)

Post pics of the stuff you're printing!

I've been playing with temps, speed multiplier, extrusion multiplier, and z height. I've also had two of the upper bearings bolts come loose and crash prints. On the other hand, I have successfully finished an eight hour print for that matter control mount. I put all five parts on the bed at once. So far, I think it's printing pretty well, but I'm a neophyte! Thanks again, Gene!
