Congratulations, and good luck building the kit. :) Will it be your first printer?

Welcome from California!

Are you one of us Northern people or one of those terrible Southern people?

:) :) :)

Son, anybody ever take the time to explain the difference between a "yankee" and a "damn yankee" to you?

They're both groups over to the right of California on the map.

For anyone not in California, there's a many decades long "war" between the north and south over water. We have it, they need it. The "war" is even sometimes used in advertisements.

But both the S. & N. Calif. won't build a d-salination plant but they will build a 60 billion dollar bullet train!

I used to live in N. Calif. and now reside in the bowels of Calif.
Hippies or damn Hippies!

Well I only reside in California, North of LA if that helps, but I am really just a hillbilly from Southern Missouri. My V2 just shipped today, exciting! I have already obtained CF and ball ends for the arm upgrade and am ordering the connectors and an light ring for it off amazon today. Thinking of getting a Harbor Freight tool stand and put some wheels on it for mounting. Guess I need to clear a workspace now!

Don't forget that now would be the time to buy the step motor dampeners if you think you may want to install them. It's a lot easier to install them during the initial build rather than later. A user on this forum, astroboy907 sells them if
you want to send him a private message to work out the details of the purchase.

I've lived in Texas for the last 15 years, however I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area and lived all over between SF and San Diego. Northern and Southern California should almost be considered two different states, very different cultures in a lot of ways. Personally love both for different reasons. There's a water war? Must be a war in the minds of people who call San Francisco "Frisco"......haha!!!

Enjoy your build, it goes together great from what I can tell so far. The manual is really good, and the photo documentation in the manual is a godsend. I'm about 2/3 of the way through my build right now and it's going well.

Well we might be neighbors. I'm in Northridge, CA which is north of LA. I received my V2 early last week and I've been doing the build a little at a time in the evenings after work. I've got about 9 hours into so far and I just mounted the extruder (page 145 in the manual) so I'm getting close! So far it's been a fun and relatively simple build. I can't say enough about the quality of the materials provided. Just give the manual a read-through once before you take anything out of the box. Be sure to do an inventory before you start, and enjoy!

Howdy neighbor! I am in Newbury Park (Thousand Oaks).
I already have a set of dampeners, ordered them when I got my thick wall arm kit. Read the manual twice. I have a buddy who has a V1, he made me a dial indicator mount. I have built a cnc machine it was direct drive though. It was between a V2 and an cool cnc software package. I obviously bought the software last year. Looking forward to the build.
